Everyone feels sad or low at times. Good Thinking is here to help you boost your mood with free NHS-approved apps and other resources.
A healthy mood has a number of benefits – it can help you to have better relationships, achieve your career goals and even live longer.
Of course, some things in life can have a negative effect on your mood. If your low mood lasts a long time and makes everything feel more difficult, you might have a mood disorder, such as depression.
Symptoms of low mood can include feeling tearful, frustrated and empty. You might also crave certain foods, get headaches and sleep more.
There are lots of things you can do to build your resilience, help you to stay positive and boost your mood. Good Thinking recommends various NHS-approved apps, including mood trackers and gratitude journals, and also provides articles, podcasts, worksheets and a self-assessment tool.
